Privacy Policy
AI Detect takes your privacy very seriously. This privacy policy explains what information the app processes, why, who it is shared with, how long it is kept and how you can delete it.
Information We Collect
AI Detect does not ask you to create an account and does not collect your name, e-mail address or phone number. The app processes the following information:
Images you analyze: the photo you select from your library, or the link you paste, is sent to Sightengine for analysis only after you agree on the consent screen. The image and its result are also saved in the scan history on your device.
Device and credit record: to give you free analyses and keep track of how many are left, the app stores a record in Google Firebase Firestore containing an identifier that iOS provides for this app, the app's bundle identifier, your remaining free credits and the record's creation date.
Usage data: Google Analytics for Firebase collects usage events, such as app opens, together with an app instance identifier.
Purchase data: RevenueCat processes your subscription status and purchase history received from the App Store, using an anonymous user ID. We never receive your payment card details.
How We Use It
We use this information only to perform the analyses you request, to manage free credits and subscriptions, to keep the service secure and to understand and improve how the app is used. AI Detect does not show advertising, does not use the advertising identifier and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Who We Share It With
Sightengine (sightengine.com) receives the images you choose to analyze and uses them only to produce your result. Google (Firebase) and RevenueCat process the data described above as our service providers. We do not sell your information or share it with anyone else, except where required by law.
International Transfers
These providers may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States, under the safeguards they publish.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your scan history stays on your device until you clear it from the History screen or delete the app. Your device and credit record is kept while you use the app; to have it deleted, write to us at the address below. Usage data is deleted automatically when the retention period configured in Firebase expires.
Your Choices and Rights
You can withdraw your consent to sending photos to Sightengine at any time from the Settings screen; the app will ask again before the next analysis. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data and to object to its processing. To exercise these rights, contact us.
Security
Images and data are transmitted over encrypted connections. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Children
AI Detect is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. When changes are made, the date below will be updated. Last updated: 29 October 2026.
